Stewart Auto Service Inc

Stewart Auto Service has a tradition of quality service dating back to 1971 when Russell Stewart started the business. He was previously employed as shop foreman at Owen's Motor Service for eighteen years. Owen's Motor Service was one of the largest auto repair facilities in Springfield at the time. Russell's career began after graduating from an auto repair technical college in Chicago, IL. He then worked at a Ford dealership before serving in the Marines where he worked in the motor pool. He remained active in the business until retirement.
In 1995, the second generation took over as his son, Norm Stewart, became president and manager. Norm started working at Owen's Motor Service during summer vacations when he was 13 years old, doing clean-up chores and helping out. After graduating from Auto Mechanics Class at Graff Vo-Tech, he began working at Stewart Auto Service, serving in various positions. The third generation is now active in the business. Stephen Stewart, lead technician, graduated from Nashville Auto and Diesel College in Nashville, TN, in 2005 with an associate degree in auto repair technology.
