Founded in 2003 by Pastry chef Sarah Brigden, the company sought to satisfy the demand among cafes and caterers in Perth for small, individual cakes of a very high standard. babyCakes now employs 10 staff, including cake makers and decorators and a delivery driver.

babyCakes, in association with Tuart college, offer cooking classes. Classes include instruction on macarons, high tea, and white chocolate.
