Living Motion Photography

Hello! I’m Vanessa, and I am a photographer based in Durham, NC. I am also the mama of an incredible little girl, and wife to an astounding husband. Prior to becoming a full-time photographer I was a Nurse at a not-for profit clinic for kids and teens – I’ve always loved working with kiddos!

I strive to ensure that each newborn and family photography session is enjoyable and relaxed. I do this by gathering as much info from you, the parent, prior to your session. I love to meet with clients for coffee, but if that doesn’t work for you I am happy to chat on the phone or email – anything to better understand who you are and what you are looking for. My photographic style is a hybrid of contemporary documentary and lifestyle, with a smidgen (when necessary) of traditional, posed portraiture. I am absolutely floored every time by the power of expectant mothers and the indescribable, radiating beauty of children. I love my job, and relish the opportunity to provide for you a unique and beautiful reminder of an irreplaceable time in your child’s life.
