Dr. Albert E. Takem is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and currently practices obesity medicine in the Maryland, DC and Virginia metropolitan area. Dr. Takem was born and raised in Cameroon where he completed his pre-college education. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Bologna in Italy. He has created the best diet programs for healthy ways to lose weight.

He graduated summa cum laude (“cento dieci e lode”) in 2003, and subsequently moved to the U.S. for his post-graduate training. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in New York and worked as a hospitalist in various hospitals across the country. Dr. Takem is actively licensed to practice medicine in the states of Maryland, Ohio, Virginia and Indiana.
