Solar Universe was founded by Joe Bono in 2008, and since then we have grown to become one of the largest residential solar installers in the U.S. Headquartered in Livermore, California, Solar Universe is unique among solar companies as the only major solar provider that offers franchise opportunities. We operate a network of 40 franchises across the U.S., from Hawaii to Puerto Rico. We have installed a whopping 46 megawatts of solar, and network-wide, we have over 1,000 team members who are dedicated to delivering clean solar energy. Since 2012, Solar Universe has been ranked annually on Franchise Magazine’s Franchise 500 list.
