" Back in the old days when explorers set off in search of new lands, they'd come home with a variety of treasures. Around 1574, however, Portuguese explorers in search of a shortcut to the East stopped at a port in Mozambique to replenish their supplies and of course check out the nightlife.

While they were there, they discovered something that would change their lives forever – a tiny pepper. Piri Piri grew wild in the tiny South African nation, and as the Portuguese people discovered all the fantastic spices and sauces they could create with the pepper, the explorers soon became settlers."
