Our Story
A humble beginning it was, as a group of four Cal Poly Food Science students (Kaitlin, Sabrina, Sara, & Brittnee) embarked on a journey to create a new food product. The sky was the limit, but what better than to create a food product that would encourage the world to eat better and make it easier for them to do so. As product development began, the team found inspiration in their professor who talked about how hard it was to get her kids to eat their vegetables. Kids love their fruit snacks so why not replace all the added sugar and preservatives with vegetables?! Voila! An idea was born and after hours of development the very first batch of veggie leathers were created, what would later become known as the Rawr Bar!

Rawr Bars made their first appearance as finalists in a national product development competition, which was then followed by a series of business related competitions and programs. This was the point at which the foodies were introduced into the world of entrepreneurs! Kate and Caine, two business students, joined the team and the business side of things began to take off. The team joined an incubator to help get their business off the ground and after hours of countless taste testings, farmers markets, and customer feedback, Rawr Bars made it into retail!

Today Kaitlin, Kate, and Sabrina are working hard to get Rawr Bars into the hands of everyone so that healthy eating can not only be delicious and easy, but also something you crave!
