IPMR is a practice of board certified/qualified specialists in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. We are also called Physiatrists (fizz ee attrists). Physiatrists focus on restoring function. We care for patients with acute and chronic pain, musculoskeletal problems such as back and neck pain, tendonitis, pinched nerves, fibromyalgia, and arthritis. We also treat people who have experienced catastrophic events resulting in paraplegia, quadriplegia, and traumatic brain injury; as well as individuals who have suffered strokes, orthopedic injuries, or neurologic disorders such as multiple sclerosis, polio, or ALS. You may be referred to an IPMR Physician for consultation, evaluation, or procedures (IPMR Services). Your physician may also request electrodiagnostic studies such as electromyography/nerve conduction studies (EMG/NCV) or urodynamics (bladder study).
