Sonal Patel, MD

Board Certified in Endocrinology as well as Internal Medicine, Dr. Sonal Patel is a specialist in Diabetes, Metabolism and other issues pertaining to the thyroid, pituitary and adrenal glands. She has conducted numerous research projects, published and presented various studies on the functions and treatments of issues in endocrinology and is dedicated to providing patients with the latest treatments and measures for whole person health.

Raised in the Carrollwood area, Dr. Patel obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Miami and completed her medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine. She then completed a three year residency in internal medicine at Hahnehamm University Hospital in Philadelphia, where she also served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology. This was followed by a two year fellowship in endocrinology at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas.

In addition to continuing research and publishing her work, Dr. Patel is active in the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the American Thyroid Association and the Endocrine Society.

When not working, Dr. Patel enjoys playing the piano and reading.
