Dr. Fairbank is happy to take care of dogs and cats, but she admits that if she had to choose one over the other, she has a special place in her heart for her feline patients. Dr. Fairbank is owned by a black cat named Ellie. Ellie was named after Dr. Fairbank's grandmother, but unlike her, Ellie isn't very social and needs to be the only pet.

Dr. Fairbank's special veterinary interests are dermatology, internal medicine and animal behavior. Her personal interests are outdoor activities including hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing, backpacking, camping and hanging out at the beach. She enjoys most types of live music, especially outside. She also enjoys traveling, reading, movies and playing games with friends.
