Initial Oral Examination
Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination; oral cancer screening, charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. We may also take x-rays, which could include a panoramic film for proper diagnosis of the entire jaw structures as well as bite-wing x-rays of back teeth to evaluate for proximal decay. We have recently installed a new digital x-ray system to help decrease patient radiation exposure.
