FIELD Engineers was started by Dave Hartigan and Jon Halliday in 2005 in Australia with the aim of capitalizing their extensive experience with Bowen Basin coal mines. They were joined by Matt Doidge in 2006. Together they established an engineering firm to handle a variety of projects ranging from traditional mechanical, structural and civil engineering to onsite projects of infrastructure and maintenance. They have chosen the best people in the industry to form a team of 40 qualified professionals. All their engineers have more than 15 years of experience. Dave Hartigan is the General Manager of the company and an expert of cranes and rigging. Jon Halliday is a dragline shutdown expert. Matt Doidge handles the design and drafting facility. Slawek Drabot manages the consulting engineering division and is an expert in problem solving in supply chain management and product development. Matthew Posthumous, who joined FIELD Engineers in 2012, heads up civil and structural engineering. He has an experience of more than 25 years in design and construction in both Australia as well as Africa.
