Wonder Wok is a Wonder
this is a pretty good mom and pop style chinese restaurant. Good service, friendly staff, and food was overall good. You are not going to be wowed here, but you could do a lot worse.

Chinese food like no other
I have been going here for many years, and honestly its not the first place i have eaten chinese food at and everyone else uses the lite color sweet and sour sauce, they use only the best, Sue and her family really work hard to treat you like your #1 everytime you return... Its the best and i recommend this place to everyone.

Good Raisin Bread
We tried Wonder Wok based on previous reviews, but we were very disappointed. First of all... IF you plan to order take-out from here, it is best that you order over the phone ahead of time. We walked in to order and we waited about 40 mins or more for our food. We ordered Lemon Chicken, which we found to have a strange (metallic?) taste to it. The salt and pepper squid not only "looked" very unappealing, but tasted the same... I threw most of it out... after trying really hard to convince myself it was ok. The Kung Pao Chicken was the most edible. And, the rice and egg rolls were okay too. The young guy that was taking our order, and getting it put together was nice, and he even gave some free home-made cookies. I bought some home-made raisin bread from here also, and it was really good. I recently tried the Jade China Chinese restaurant over on Berryessa Road, and I would highly recommend it over this one.Worldwide > United States > San Jose, CA > Chinese Restaurants
