Financing nightmare
I bought an expensive piece of furniture here and paid about 25% in cash and then financed the rest through them. All they gave me about the financing was the brochure with the terms that didn't even identify who the lender would be until you get out the magnifying glass and read the fine print. Not only that but the brochure didn't even list a web site address or phone number where you could contact the lender. What's even more frustrating is that they never mailed a bill (and yes they have the correct address) so you have no information about your account . This is ridiculous because as a responsible consumer I wanted to pay off the furniture before the 6 months free financing expires and it's like pulling teeth to even do that. As a consumer, you should be able to pay your bill off before it's due. When confronting the furniture store they gave me the 1800 number to the lender then the lender (Wells Fargo Financial Bank) claims that they cannot give you the information and that you need so they transfer you to another number which is completely automated and then eventually hangs up on you when you can't supply the necessary information which you don't have in the first place. Plus you can't make payments on your furniture to the store....because it's no longer their problem they have pawned you off to the mercy of some disorganized and non customer oriented banking nightmare.

I bought a bedroom suit on a Friday and it was delivered on Saturday morning. I thought the service was very good. I would not hesitate to shop at Martins again.

Awesome Prices
I was pleasantly surprised with how smooth the process went from beginning to end. I had an idea of what I was looking for after viewing their website. I then contacted them and they promptly gave me all of my options for purchase, as well as alternative products that they recommend. I was very happy to see that they offer the selection of a large store but the quality prices and service of a small store. I would definitely recommend them to a friend.

Worst shopping experience I've ever had
I purchased a sofa and loveseat from Martin Fine Furniture and the rest is a complete nightmare. Upon arrival, I was very satisfied with my purchase. However, after about 4-5 months of having the furniture (Basset), I noticed that the edges of both pieces were threadbare. I contacted Martin Furniture, explaining to them what I found only to be met with unacceptably rude behavior. The person with whom I spoke actually hung up on me. Yes, HUNG UP ON ME. When I called back to find out who this was, I was told it was the owner. At that point I felt defeated since you cannot really complain to anyone else. I finally got someone to come out to my house to take a look at the furniture, along with a Basset representative. They found that the padding was not correctly installed under the fabric, causing it to rub it bare. I told the Martin furniture representative that was at my house (the owner's son it turns out) how dissatisfied I was with the way I was treated. He was somewhat empathetic and gave me the impression that the owner was rude often. I had also emailed Basset furniture to let them know of my experience and showed the Basset Rep. a copy of what was sent. He literally snatched it from my hands, walked out of my house and said that he would take that. I had to follow him outside, practically running and snatch it back out of his hands. I was told I would get a replacement sofa to have something to sit on while mine were being repaired, which never happened. I can't believe this place stays in business. By the way....awfully curious that two of the positive reviews say the exact same thing?
