Call before you go
Called to see if they were 18 and up, at 10pm. They told us they were closing for the night due to lack of business, apparently, they are NOT open late every night.Do not eat here !!!
We eat at Mad Donna's last night. The Service was horrible . It took us over an hour to get our food, and when we finally got our food half the order was wrong. The music was so loud that we were unable to talk. We asked for our check and that took another 30 minutes . It was one of the wrost dining experiences I have ever had ! You would be Mad to go there!Check your bill !!
Both times I have been to Mad Donna's, the service was unfriendly and had somewhat of an attitude if you don't order alot. The food was sent quickly and the order was right but the food was not nearly as exotic as the given names. When I received my bill, I saw that extra beers, a dish I didn't order and an "extra charge", literally on the bill, it said "extra charge" was on the ticket with what I had ordered. When I gave a glance toward my waitress' direction, she didn't acknowledge me but went into the backroom and returned with my correct ticket. She said they realized that it wasn't "transferred over"?? And this is without me saying anything to them. So obviously , if you don't order alot, beware of attitude and possibly a scam to get more money out of you. Is this what I get for trying to support local diners?Great Burgers
Have been to Mad Donna's several times and have great experience and excellent food every time. The kids' also enjoyed the food which is rare.Friendly Fun, East Nashville Style!
Went for drinks after dinner on a recent Saturday night to enjoy the 80s night music upstairs. We were early & the crowd was light this night but Brandon, the bartender, was friendly & made it fun before the music even started. He gave us lots of choices for drink ideas & we tried the house Reisling wine which was excellent & then switched to Blue Moon draft beer with orange slices. So yummy! The atmosphere is down to earth & unpretentious. Very fun & the dj's take requests for 70s & 80s tunes. A few of us livened up the dance floor with another group & enjoyed the night before closing time & headed over across the street to the Lipstick. Great service, fun atmosphere. We did not order any food, so can't speak to that aspect of it. Will be back!um... no.
The spinach dip came out but only had a small amount of chips with it.. I told my wife I guess we're supposed to reuse the chips a few times each. The burgers we ordered were cooked well but entirely too plain. Blue Cheese burger had NO sauce, don't know if you have tried to eat blue cheese crumbles without a sauce but it sucks the moisture out of your mouth, lol. Anything worth eating as a side dish is $2.00 extra and for two dollars each I got 5 onion rings and my wife got a handfull of sweet potato fries. It was OK but my expectations were much higher and not met.Very casual neighborhood feel
Went there for brunch and there were many open tables but we had to wait, which was no big deal, but we though it was odd to wait with so many tables open. The staff was friendly but very SLOW! We were there for brunch for nearly two hours and we didnt order anything special. The drinks were great!!! Great drink specials and a cute atmosphere. Very simple inside and plain. A bit artsy. Again, friendly people but very casual and slow paced. If you want a relaxing time, a great place to go...if you have an agenda...not the place. Food was VERY average, nothing spectacular, but the drinks were excellent.Great atmosphere and service, please improve the food
Arrived around 6 pm on a very rainy Wed evening. We were greeted immediately by the host and our waiter once seated - both were very friendly and "authentic†(i.e., were not "chain restaurant robotsâ€, had personality, and provided honest feedback on the food). The atmosphere is artsy but not pretentious. I love that hey have local artists work on the walls and they appear to host fun events (drag bingo, bands, benefits, etc.).very disapointing
the only good thing about our experience was that our server was nice. other than that, everything was poor to mediocre. we got there right at 11 on a sunday, which is when they open. i assumed they opened earlier. usually i don't like to be the first in, but since they were about to open, i figured oh well. they unlocked the door and didn't look at us. when we went in, they were not polite. not rude, but not polite. just took us to our tables with no friendliness. our server was nice, but we only saw her twice. we saw about 5 other people though. the rude cook brought our food out. i wish we had taken a picture of the breakfast potatoes. apparently they were not made that day. we were lucky of they'd been made the day before. my gf ate a bite and they were stone cold. we had to ask for new ones, but they left the old ones so we could still have the (mediocre crab cake eggs benedict) entree. they shouldn't have done that for their own good. the fresh breakfast potatoes were SO incredibly different than the old ones, it only magnified how gross the first ones were. my gf described it as a place in which everyone was hungover and proud of themselves for it. i've worked in restaurants for almost 15 years and, while i am forgiving of certain things because i can relate, i am not sympathetic to rude employees and unedible, disgusting food. also, when we walked into the ladies room there was a giant turd on the inside of the toilet immediately visible upon walking in. this was there at 11am (as soon as they opened, i used the bathroom) and at noon, when we left (my gf used it then). no one gave a crap about the customers and that pissed me off. every few minutes, we'd hear the cooks in the back yelling at the top of their lungs, "I NEED A RUNNER!!" overall, just gross. the potatoes and the crap smear on the toilet were enough to keep us from going back.snuck charges onto our check
We went with a group of 6 and really enjoyed ourselves. The food, service, and atmosphere were good.Worldwide > United States > Nashville, TN > Restaurants
