Huey’s has been bringing Blues, Brews, & Burgers in Memphis since 1970. Perhaps the most unique characteristics of our locations are the graffiti walls, hometown feel and local live music. Our World Famous Huey burgers have been voted Best Burger in Memphis since 1984. Sundays at Huey’s are traditionally known for live music, including jazz, blues and even a little rock from local and regional groups. At the example of the late Thomas Boggs, Huey’s former owner, giving back to the community is one of our top priorities. in search of the Best Hamburger
my teen son and I went in search of a hambuger and Huey's claims to have the best but that seems to be the downtown location, not this one. I'm not saying it's bad. It's just not the best. It's good. We tried a couple times in fact, just to be fair. I would call it "average". The Fish and Chips, however, were very good! Tender and mildly flavored, and crisp. The chips (steak fries) were also very good, very "potatoey". My only complaint is that because it's a bar, there's a lot of cigarette smioke. They need to ventilate better or separate the sections more. Service was friendly and good but in four visits, I've not seen the same server but once.

Small burgers - not worth the money.
Huey's has steadily declined over the years. The burger used to be one of the best in town, but the last few times we have been there, the burgers were definitely smaller. They don't even fill the buns anymore and cost almost 7 dollars. When you throw in the fries which are almost 3 dollars (which are not included by the way), and a drink, you are looking at over 10 bucks for a meal that Hardee's can easily beat with their restaurant style burger. When I complained, the manager assured me that their burgers have always been the same size. Even if that was true, they are not worth the money you spend there - the place is way too hyped up. There are much better places to get a great burger and get your money's worth. Bottom line - Huey's has taken their hype and run wth it. If you like your small burger with a good kick in the groin as you hand over your wallet, this is the place.American Express
