Awesome Service
My friend and I went here for lunch and had a wonderful time. The waitress was attentive and very friendly and was not bothered at all by our 4 kids. The waitress was very patient with us and offered a lot of suggestions as to what to order. The managers that were working that day were also great. They stopped by and talked with our kids and automatically brought out extra crackers and napkins. Their interactions did not feel at all put-on. The food came quickly and was very, very good. My meal was a bbq chicken sandwhich and it was moist and tender with great taste. My friend had a bbq chicken salad and could not say enough good things about it and she also ate most of her daughters cheeseburger and said that it was one of the best burgers she had had in a long time. The atmosphere was upbeat but not to loud either. The restaurant was very clean as were the restrooms. Famous Dave's is definitely worth the visit.
This Famous Dave's is the sit-down type, not the give-your-order-at-the-window type, which was a nice surprise. The hostess greeted us and sat us quickly. The ambience was comfortable...music not too loud, not too cold. Our waitress, Alicia, was wonderful..helpful and eager. Food came out fast and hot. Big portions for not a lot of money. Excellent experience.

Don't believe the hype
For the life of me I haven't figured out why there are so many Famous Dave's in Minnesota. I have had the rib sandwich platter, the baby back ribs (full) and St. Louis style (full) meals and remain to be impressed. The only thing going for them is that they seem to have a monopoly on ribs and that's why they get business. The staff has always been friendly and the restaurant always appears clean. The prices are VERY high for the product and truly keeps me from frequenting Famous Dave's more often. If you're feeling like ribs and have an alternative - i'd pick the alternative.Worldwide > United States > Saint Paul, MN > Restaurants
