Highly recommended to me, but I wasn't satisfied
The Starting Block was highly recommended to me by several very satisfied moms whose opinions I trusted. It's almost hard to believe that the experience I had was with the same daycare as they had praised to me. My daughter's whole personality and attitude seemed to change (for the worse) during the short time she was there. She became more aggressive, angry, fussy and grumpy. Before the Starting Block she had loved to go to 'school' but once we started there she cried each morning and begged me not to have to go. The final straw was when she told me the teacher yelled at them all the time. From my observations, the children in general seemed unruley and out of control. The pre-school rooms didn't hum of activity but rather were chaotic and blaring with crying, screaming and other unpleasant noises. The facilities seemed safe and acceptably clean and reasonably well maintained, but at the same time they didn't appear bright, fresh, especially sanitary or inviting. At pick up ti
