Don't believe all the Hype this place is a rip off!
Cattleman's is the worst steakhouse I have ever eaten at. My husband and I tried it because everyone around said it was this nice expensive restraunt with great food. Wrong those people should be ashamed of themselves! For starters the cocktail waitress forgot to tell us they didn't turn on the cooler and our white wine was warm but when we did flag her down and ask she let us know that not to worry they were using a good "technique" to chill it quickly. It was a bucket half full of ice =( to make matters worse we paid a ton of money and got average food. The waitress wouldn't stand at the table long enough to take a complaint. I was extremely mad about paying A LOT for so little and poor service to boot. I recommend going to Texas Roadhouse where you pay half the price get awesome food and always have leftovers not to mention a manager always comes to the table to make sure you are treated right. In my opinion Cattleman's sucks and they are a rip off. Consumers be ware.

Yuk!!
If you are looking for a cockroaches, flies, mosquitos and other pests in your food and sad & mistreated animals to look at.... look nowhere else. Very few times have I been somewhere as disgusting as this hell hole.
We went to this place as a company evening event and the food was plain gross. The steaks were dry, tough and sandy as though it had been dropped on the floor and reheated. At first I thought it was just my piece of meat so I went back for a second steak and this one was even worse.
The potato salad and coleslaw were luke warm so I decided to skip it rather than risk getting a food borne illness. The beans seemed edible but were not appetizing once I tasted them.
I decided not to eat and only stuck around due to my co workers and employers were there. I went to look at the animals on the property and they sure looked pitiful, neglected and sad. The cages were all full of poo as though they hadn't been cleaned in ages. Due to this there was a ton of flies in the air. I really should have taken a picture of this and posted it on the net. Too bad I didn't have my camera.
The area the restaurant-ranch is situated must have a lot of clay because there was quite a bit of mud. The puddles seemed to generate mosquitos so I was lucky that I always keep OFF in the car.
The servers were always running around but nothing seemed to get done. There doesn't seem to be any guided direction or quality control because both my glass and silverware were dirty.
Personally, I have received better tasting quality steaks, better service, and cleaner silverware at much cheaper restaurants. I would seriously recommend to avoid this place and just go to Outback Steakhouse. Your wallet and tummy will both thank you for it.

Great of the whole family
The food is great and the service is good, however the best part is the tour and the activeties for the whole family. If you are taking the family make sure you go before is gets dark outside so that you can walk around the ranch and see all of the animals and make sure you take the tour out in the desert. I love to go here and the cost is worth every penny. If you are looking for a place to take visitors this is the place!!!!!

Awesome!!!
This restaurant is fantastic. Every time I go to El Paso, I make sure to make the drive out to Fabens and have a meal here. If its your first time try to get there while the sun is still shining, so that you can tour the property and enjoy the movie sets, see all the animals, and enjoy a romantic casual stroll around the lake. Order brisket as a starter. it is so tender that it practically melts in your mouth. All the beef is prepared perfectly to order, and the portions are huge!!! One of the best filets and steaks I have ever had, and this place will give any one of the fancy Los Angeles steakhouses that I?m used to a run for their money. The ambiance is casual, and the sides are all served family style. Great for children, and large groups. Definitely worth the drive and the price. Highly recommended!!!
