The first time I used their service, I had to wait 2 hours at the hospital while the dispatcher argued with the ambulance people over what stretch to use. My family and the crew knew what size would fit through our door but the dispatcher thought she knew better, from her desk. The second time I used their service, she tried to do the same thing but we said NO, we will not go through this again. We were right and this transport was easier than the first. However only 2 1/2 months after the first transport they SUED me in court for $63!!!! I had received one bill, one letter, and 1 phone call and they SUED me!! I am on a limited income and after the call I promised to try to send something, at least a partial payment. Before I could send it out of my next month's Social Security check, the hurricane hit and I ended up in the hospital again because we had no power for my oxygen machine or biPAP, or nebulizer. So now I had 2 hospital bills, several doctor bills and their bill. I just didn't get to it that month. SO, they SUED me for the $63. The thing is, to defend myself I would need the services of an ambulance to get me to court!!!! I will pay their bill, I had to borrow the money to do so. I will NEVER let the hospital call them again. It's a shame, the ambulance crew was wonderful, kind, caring and efficient. Their management is lousy!!!
