A fixture in the medical community of New Jersey for more than 30 years, Dr. Buna completed his medical education at the Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania. In the United States, he completed his internship in obstetrics and gynecology at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, and a residency at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, New York.
Dr. Buna later went on to serve as chief resident during further residency training in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn & Queens in Jamaica, New York -- a major teaching affiliate of Cornell University Medical College and New York Hospital.
Dr. Buna is a diplomate and fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a fellow of the American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
