Poor patient careI had randomly chosen him because he was near my apartment. I called to get an appointment because I had a cough for about a week that was exacerbating my asthma. They didnt have any appointments for another 3 weeks but said they could fit me in the next day. The next day they called to cancel and reschedule the next day. When I went later, they had me waiting in the waiting room for an HOUR AND A HALF!!! Then they put me in a room with people's medical records on chairs and all over the room that I wasted time reading (I'm sure they violated HIPPA/ patient confidentiality there!!) When I told them that I thought it was an unreasonable time to wait they said that they didnt have to treat me, and if I didnt like it I could leave and go to the ER and wait there if I wanted to. That doesnt seem like good patient care to me. I dont want a doctor who's response to a patients concern about what kind of care they are receiving to be "Keep your mouth shut. If you dont like it, go wait at BMC's ER for 8 hours." My father and brother are doctors and they said that they would never say that, that's bad patient care and poor professional demeanor. I will never go back or return for follow up care. I think I would prefer and wait in Newton-Wellesley ER, atleast theyre nice and caring there.
