Terrible!I went to the Colorado Wellness Spa because I researched it on the internet and it had decent reviews and a nice website. At first I thought there prices were a little over the top, but I had a gift certificate and it was supposed to be pampering. So I called the place and they weren't answering and I left a message. This was annoying because I expect to have the phone answered if I call a business. They called me back about an hour later and I got to make my appointment for an orange coconut bliss pedicure and a regular facial. They asked me for my credit card number to keep the appointment and said that if I miss the appointment they'd charge me the full amount. Rediculous, but I made the appointment anyway. On the day of the appointment I had a hard time finding the place. It was on Bijou, but in a normal house and not an actual business. When you walk in it smells and feels old. The atmosphere was just weird. The front desk lady said hello and asked me to sign some form. Then I was ushered into a small room to get my pedicure. I sat down and took my shoes off. The lady came in and told me to soak my feet in this tub of milky looking water. They gave me a nasty tasting fruity drink that made me feel all queezy. They also had a small selection of chocolates and wafers there for me which looked old and wasn't nicely presented. The lady started and really didn't even have a conversation with me. She just asked me the basic stuff and really seemed like she didn't want to be there. She told me to read the magazines that were on the table next to me. I felt very uncomfortable sitting there. She also was rough when she was doing the exfoliating scrub and did a horrible job on the leg massage. She forgot to scrub one of my feet (on the bottom) with this other exfoliater. I didn't bother correcting her because I was scared she'd say something nasty. She did paint my nails ok. The whole pedicure was also supposed to be 80 minutes but turned out to be only 70 minutes. I was glad that pedicure was over. Now I had to deal with the facial. So I took all my belongings and was given some cheap flip flops. I was sent upstairs. I almost fell on those teeny tiny stairs. I went to a small cold room that was semi-dark. The girl was a little more friendly. She gave me instructions to take off my top and put on a draping. I laid down on the table and she came in. She examined my face and recommended some skin care. She cleaned, massaged, scrubbed, and moisturized my face. I also got a nice mask. She also wasn't very much into having a conversation and seemed distant. I've had better facials at the Noble School of Cosmetology, and they were only students. Happy that my ordeal was finally over, I rushed to put on my clothes so that I could finally leave. I went back downstairs to pay. The front desk guy took over the previous girl that was initially there. He must have been the snobbiest person I've come across in a long time. He didn't ask me how my service was, he didn't smile, and he wasn't friendly. He told me how much my total was and he was annoyed when I gave him my gift card. He asked me if I wanted to give a tip and I gave them a decent tip which he asked if I wanted to split between the two ladies. I said yes and he took the money. That was the end of the conversation. He didn't say have a nice day or if I'd be interested in any future treatments there. This experience for me was dreadful and I would never go back there even if they paid for my treatments!
Wonderful Couple's Spa ExperienceMy wife and I had plans at a nearby spa which fell through due to a mistake at the spa. We then scheduled with Colorado Wellness Spa and had a fantastic couple's experience. I would highly recommend this Spa for its skilled staff as well for it's wonderful atmosphere!
Great atmosphere, very relaxingWe hadn't planned on going to this spa, and it was a spur of the moment decision that turned out to be the best few hours of our trip to Colorado Springs. The atmosphere was wonderful. The music was perfect...not too loud, and not a radio station. The staff was friendly and professional. My husband and I had a great time, and out therapists were superb. They had no availability at first and as soon as they had a cancallation they called us (just like we'd asked) and got us in ON TIME. They even recomended a great restaurant downtown. It was a perfect way to end a trip to Colorado.
Couple's Eden Spa PackageMy wife and I really liked the calmness and relaxation that we felt at this spa the moment we walked in, as we really felt the need to get some time away to ourselves. The atmosphere has a nice eclectic mix of antique and modern and is located in a very cool, Victorian house. The staff was all about making our experience for our anniversary special. Thier hot tub is outside and has a gazebo which was nice (and private) and our massages, foot scrubs and facials were quite awesome! Thanks again!
Most Relaxed I've ever Beenwe went there for our anniversary and loved every second of it. the package was on special, and was worth way more than what we paid for it. The massages were the best, and I love the way that all of our treatments were done in the same room. We've been places were we didn't even see each other because we were in different rooms. We'll be back every year, whether there's a special going on or not. Thanks for everything
Dont do it!My girlfriend and i wanted to do a girls day at the spa, and purchased the couples Eden package. Good price, but you totally get what you pay for. As you walk up to the front door, you cant help but notice the roof falling apart. We walked inside, and it did smell lovely and looked cute with all the antique cheap decor. However, just because you dim the lights, doesnt mean you shouldnt dust every once in awhile. It was filthy. We were escorted OUTSIDE, in the cold, to the hot tub. So we get in, and there are sand grains at the bottom of the tub, that u couldnt see through the clouded, dirty water. We were so disgusted, our feet stayed on our seats. Then our tub randomly shuts off, and as we are getting dressed, we are told that we will be met upstairs. My girlfriend had the worst facial ever...with spoiled smelling towels put on her face. The lady spent more time getting her crap than actually doing the facial. They had a different person come in and do her massage and footscrub, and scalp treatment. He completely skipped her arms and hands, and the scalp treatment consisted of pushing down on her head. I, on the other hand, didnt mind my treatments. I had the same guy throughout the entire experience, and it was nice. My 30min facial however, only lasted about 12 minutes. And both skipped the entire front side of our bodies during our massages. The foot scrub was great, who can mess that up..Again, you get what you pay for, and i would be delighted to pay more for a true spa experience. We left feeling like we were dirty.
Colorado Wellness SpaMy husband bought me a $300 gift certificate for Christmas that I have attempted to use numerous times, but they either 1) do not call back 2) cancel appointments once you finally make them. This has happened at least four times in the last six months. I finally was able to make an appointment today for a massage on Monday, and then someone called back to say they were closed. I am scheduled for next Saturday.. let's just see if they call to re-schedule. Frustrating because THEY'VE already been paid so customer service really sucks. On the other hand the one service I did receive (a facial) was really good.
Great ExperienceI having been going to the place on a regular basis for about 2 years. I have never had problems getting an appointment. Massages have always been great as well as the facials and the pedicures. It was a little dusty one time. There is not one place that is perfect. I have tried other places and this one exceeds customer service and most relaxing atmosphere.
ZERO customer service, but apparently good if you get inMy fiance went for a massage/spa treatment a few months ago and LOVED it. So I bought her a package online - where the prices are not listed for the packages. No biggie about the lack of prices when purchasing online since I expected less than $200 and it was less than $200.
