Matt grew up in Chapel Hill NC, and attended Guilford College in Greensboro NC, majoring in both Religious Studies and Philosophy, and later taught at a High school for 3 years. In 2006, Matt attended UNC-Chapel Hill and became an RN in 2008, and returned to UNC-CH for his Master's degree, and became a Nurse Practitioner in 2013.
