Louise is a kind and special person. She is in the moment with you all of the time. Whether or not you may have concern to consider this Yelp informative or helpful depends on the direct relevance to my experience. First, Louise asked me some questions that were out of the scope of my therapy. Sometimes she would say things like, "You know I care for you a lot". She would say these things very often. And, I am a man. She also told me, "I am very fond of you". These things can be misleading for vulnerable men and lengthen the therapy or misguide the direction of therapy. I found that her abilities lengthened my therapy and its cost were highly developed. Also, beware that you may have some disfunctional tendancies and that she can be a enabler in regard to one's not seeing inward and coming to terms with one's own faults. This can lead to financial catastrophes as did my therapy with Louise. Additionally, Louise is sufficiently knowledgeable to understand that her client is not using the proper medication and or misusing perscription drugs. I was trying to use benzodiazepines to manage a psychiatric disorder and it led to my hospitalization and other things. I was completely taken off guard while driving to the hospital for treatment that she told me "Those of us who have not been nurtured tend to self-destruct". Louise, thanks for the warning. For the whole two years all she did was asked about when I would receive checks for the dissolution of my hard assets to continue down a road of self destruction. Then in the final day of therapy, she lays it on my like it is my fault. Of course I take responsibility but she took the money and kept track of when I had money and made suggestive remarks as stated above. If you are vulnerable to making huge financial errors, I suggest to stay away from Louise. There are so many other questions she asked such as asking for details that are way out of the scope of therapy, see below if interested. If you ever detect this, bid her a pleasant farewell. It might seem hard to leave what you perceive as the only source of support. But, there are ethical counselers in your area. At least take some time to talk to another counseler. Take a break from Louise and see it you find alternate support that does not pry into your finances and/or legal matters. Also, I was in contention on some legal matters with the local university, UC Davis, for an illegal disqualification which I had overturned. Louise asked me who the Assitant Dean was, that is the persons complete identity. Louise offered to refer me to an attorney but she would have me send here the documents and she would forward them to the attorney. She asked me for particulars regarding my case that had nothing to do with my therapy. This was quite suspicious. She also made several inquiries regarding when I would receive financial funds. One semester she insisted that I take two courses when I insisted that I take only one because I had other matters to tend to. It is my opinion that Louise was making inquiries for information that if shared could damage my future and these questions were out of the scope of ethical boundries set for her profession. It can be known what the matter of counseling may be without knowing the professor's or administrator's names and positions, including highly detailed information. I do not know if she has social or professional interests with UC personnel but the types of questions she asked could make one wonder. Nevertheless, the therapy proved to be quite damaging to me. I am responsible for my actions. But, it takes two to tango.
