At first the experience on my remodeling job was good, but then this contractor started asking for more funds above the contracted price. The owner had not even done half of the work on the contract and he was already asking for 18 percent more to finish. And he would finish, but not completely. He was trying to take short cuts as well. The 2 month project is now going on 5 months, and it is not finished yet. My front and back yards are a total disarray and I still have 2 rooms, 1 bathroom plus all the finishing details inside my home. I recommend you check your sources with the local BBB and Contractor's associations for a reputable contractor / builder.
