Great Chicago Skate Shop
Uprise is one of the best skate shops in Chicago. They have a great skate team, and their shop video Surprise is a Chicago skate classic. They have good shop decks for sale; although the shop deck with graphics for $40 seemed a little expensive. They have whatever else you could want-shoes, trucks, hardware, and a lot of clothes and decks.

i had a blank board built up here after not skating for over 5 years, the guy working there was extremely nice and helped me pick out good components understanding where i was coming from. they have a few hundred boards to choose from and a fair amount of skate shoes. parking is easy on milwaukee avenue and they're open until 7 most nights.

The only place to go for the right skateboard
Uprise is the only place in Chicago to go for the best advice and equipment for skateboarding. Their staff has years of experience shredding the streets of Chicago and know what they're talking about. They are very enthusiastic and will address the right board for your needs. The have all the most popular brand decks to choose form and have some decks form smaller companies that could suprise you. They could have a better selection of parts such as wheels and trucks and shoes. I wouldn't read too much into that because it seems like most skate shops have a limited selection of some items. That's just the business I guess.

um.......i dunno wat this is but ill just write wat i think about uprise its the best skateshop ever!!!!!! the people there are really cool there more than just people that work at a skateshop there like friends it could be your fist time there and youll feel like youve always been going there uprise is the best overall so if your looking for a skateshop to go to go to uprise!!! its the best + they will most likely have wat your looking for ist a 9 out a 10 thats pretty good

Whats up with the Attitude
Bottom line these guys don't care on how they treat their customers. I think they feel they are the only skate shop in town. I'll take my bussiness elsewhere
