Southern hospitality great food
Wonderful place to stay on campus at UNC Chapel Hill. Convenient to Franklin Street (the campus' main drag) and its lively restaurants, clubs, etc. Four star restaurant on the premises with great southern inspired food with a twist. Rooms are nicely decorated and service is excellent.

Excellent inn
Located right on University of North Carolina's campus, this place is a gem, and students, alumni, local residents, and visitors find this a treasure. The history welcomes you everywhere you go--the photos, the structure, etc. Enjoy an afternoon tea, divine lunch, and/or the special gingerbread contest during the holidays. The food they cater is incredible and vegetarians and meat-eaters alike will not be disappointed.
PROS: the food they cater
CONS: none whatsoever

Wow
Located in the heart of Chapel Hill, the Carolina Inn is the place to stay if your looking to live in luxury. This place is decorated elegantly and the customer service treats you right. However, living like a king comes at a hefty pricetag. But if you asked me, the two days I stayed there were well worth it!

Classy Place for Classy Tastes!
This is THE place to stay while visiting Chapel Hill. It is located within walking distance to the downtown bustle on Franklin and located on campus. You will be right in the middle of everything! Friday afternoons- they have a band and drinks- great place to gather with friends! The hotel is ELEGANT!! Lots of weddings, and formal events are hosted here. Overall, this place is awesome!! Watch out for graduation weekend, it sells out a year in advance and requires a 3 night stay.

Great historic hotel
in the heart of Chapel Hill. Close to the university and to all games fball, bball, etc. A block from Franklin Street and across the street from campus. The staff is very friendly and helpful from the bellmen/valet to the front desk and concierge. They have a small fitness center on site, but access to a 24 hour fitness center a couple miles away. The hotel restuarant, Crossroads, is impeccable! The rooms can be small as with any historic hotel. If you get in late request a handicaped room and if you have the money go with a suite - they are refurnished and will take your breath away. A must stay if you are in Chapel Hill. Make reservations early in the Spring and Summer they fill up here quick. And unless you've booked a year out, forget getting in here for football season!

Tradition
Carolina Inn sits smack in the middle of the campus area, within spitting distance of the Olde Well. Its white columns proclaim its southern heritage. It features dining and full service of world-class standards. Good place for weddings and meetings. Elegant function rooms. Bedrooms are small as required by the limited space on the postage stamp of land, and parking is tight. But the subdued lighting and polished brass tell you that you have arrived in real old-fashioned luxury.
