Disappointed
The last 3 visits were very disappointing. My favorite chicken spedini is the Gabrielle with angel hair, tomatoes, Basil and spinach. It had no sign of any garlic and tasted like spinach water. And my chicken was burnt on the last visit....

It's okay, but we probably won't return
The staff at Salvatore's is super-friendly. The food is decent (nothing like the Italian you get in New England), but not great. Even though the staff is nice, the service is awfully slow. The dining room was extremely hot and the bathrooms were filthy. The food is expensive for what you get. I'm glad we had a restaurant.com coupon so we could try it out.

Slipping
We've always loved dining with the Garozzo family but this restaurant is slipping in recent months. It seems that you can only get good service if you are a regular - if you're unknown, your table is ignored. The last time we went, the salad (which is normally fantastic!) was wilted and the lettuce tasted bitter. The food was served lukewarm - definitely not as good as they used to be.

Great Authentic Italian Cuisine
I love going to Sal’s any night of the week. If you love a laid back fine dining experience, I would highly recommend this restaurant. They have a great wine list, fantastic Italian dishes and great wait staff.
