Food..

I went here one time with my family since it had just opened and we wanted to try something new. The people here are very nice. The food is really good but the price of the food is a little expensive for my taste. We ordered four items on the menu and it added up to about $50.

Best Hainanese Chicken Rice. Also delectable Chilli Crab, Laksa and Roti!

I live in San Francisco, so it's a long trek (an hour or so) for me to eat at this restaurant, but it's so worth the long drive and traffic.

The Hainanese Chicken Rice is extremely tasty. The chicken is tender and juicy, but it is the home-made ginger sauce that brings me back again and again. The laksa and rojak are also my favorites. The roti (bread) is crisp and light, accompanied with a rich and flavorful dipping sauce. The chilli crab, the garlic fried tofu, and the lamb dish are all delightful and delicious.

Don't forget to leave room for desserts! And if you want to learn more about how the dishes are prepared, ask for Teresa who is friendly and welcoming.

American Hainanese Chicken Rice

I just went to this retaurant a few day ago. Heard it from my colleagues who lives here in San Jose. Oh... by the way, i came from Singapore 1 week ago. Heard from my colleague that there is a restaurant who sell great Singapore Hainanese Chicken Rice called Prima Taste. So we went there with high expectations. The place is normal and clean. Me and my colleague also singaporean had both ordered the Hainanese Chicken Rice. Let me commend on the food now.
The rice is not fragrance at all. The chicken is overcooked and therefore not juicy. The chilli sauce is the worse chicken rice chilli sauce i have ever taste. The taste of the chicken is totally wrong. Its my worse Chicken Rice's nightmare.
But come to think of it, the taste of the food is not the same as what we had in sinapore is because the restaurant needs to adapt to the taste of the american. Cause the major population is still the american. Too Bad. I'll try the laksa next week.
