Don't buy pets while others die in shelters!
DO NOT BUY FROM PET STORES!
No Reputable Breeder would ever sell their pets to a pet store. Besides the fact that these dogs come from Puppy Mills and commercial breeders... why would you NOT want to support rescuing a dog from death in a shelter. There are so many pets looking for homes with Rescue organizations and Shelters that are perfect pets! Many dogs in shelters are purebred dogs that were thrown away by the breeders because they are not perfect in their markings, maybe not the right size or sex or are just 'too old' to sell (most breeders do not want to sell their dogs after they are 5 or 6 months old).....
ADOPT, DON'T SHOP for your pets!

My Pet Fair pup is miserable
My husband and I bought an American Bulldog from this petstore when he was 12 weeks old. The vet they work with said he was perfectly healthy despite the odd way he walked.... Today he is 10 months old and has SEVERE hip dysplasia, and will likely need hip replacements. He cannot walk for more than two or three minutes without having to sit down or lay down because of his pain. When I bought the dog I asked about his breeder, all I was given was a name and nothing else. Looking back I should have asked more questions or simply bought from a reputable breeder and not a mall petshop. I am upset not only because I paid around 1,000 bucks for a dog that has been in chronic pain for months, but also because I know his parents are probably still being bred over and over and those puppies will be unhealthy as well. This petstore needs to take a little more pride in where they get their dogs if they think it's appropriate to charge so much for them.

DO NOT BUY A PUPPY HERE
DO NOT BUY A PUPPY HERE! They purchase there puppies from a broker who purchasing them from a puppy mill. Puppy mills are places where dogs live in horrible conditions and the mothers are bred until they die. Many of the dogs are never even touched their whole lives or seen by a vet. Buy a pet from either a rescue, shelter or reputable breeder. To find a reputable breeder go to http://www.akc.org/classified/search/index.cfm

warning
Do not buy pets from pet stores! Buy from a reputable breeder (this does not include someone selling puppies on the side of the road) or adopt from your local pet shelter. Stop financing pet stores that buy from puppy mills.

response to never again
I work at pet fair and the reason why we do not allow some one to pick up our puppies with out asking is because there are many people that come out and pick our puppies up and drop them. We do not do this to upset you or any other potential customers. I would think most people would be happy about us doing that because we are protecting the puppies. As for the hispanic family that came in.... almost every time we have a hispanic family in there unfortunately they do not speak english and we do say stuff to them but they do not understand. If that employee did not say anything to them then I wish you would have called because as a manager they would have been dealt with because we want nothing more then for our customers to feel welcomed and respected. Thank you.

Never again...
Went this past Saturday around 6 pm to buy a puppy and possibly a female cock-a til.Wife spotted puppy she wanted. Looked at me and said he was the one. Other children playing in the pen with the three puppies. She reached down to pick up the dog she wanted and the attendant told her to not pick up the puppies, she was letting them run.Moments later, a Mexican family walked in, all three kids picked up the puppies and NOTHING was said to them.Potential of $500+ in sales out the door. Never going back.

not bad
This is the pet shop in the mall. Overall its pretty clean and all of the animals seem pretty well cared for. I think the employees should be a little more educated on their animals other than puppies, I wanted to know some info about a reptile but they couldnt tell me anything about it. Its a little expensive for the accessories they sell, you can get the same stuff at petco cheaper. Other than than I love to stop buy once in a while and play with the puppies.
