A better O'Charley's experience

This O'Charley's, located near Sams Club in Murfreesboro was a good place for lunching. After my last experience with the Franklin, Tn location I was leery on ever stepping foot in one again, this O'Charley's was a much better experience though it had a few flaws. One of the flaws were a very small handfull of taco/corn chips on the Cheese Dip & Salsa appetizer. There was more plate than chips, however if you order with their potato chip appetizer it all evens out and you can use the dip for both. The potato chip appetizer (not sure what this is called) was ENORMOUS, piled HIGH and so big that a party of 2 could not consume it all and was taken home in a box that was just as good cold as it was hot, hours later. The Philly Cheeseburger was very big, although not juicy, but this is probably because it was a good cut of meat and not filled with fat. I would prefer a juicier burger but it was probably better for me. The server forgot to bring my au jus to go along with the burger but when bringing this to her attention she snapped right to it and brought it out. She was also great with asking if we wanted more refills of soft drinks. My utensils were filthy and unusable with chunks of food dried on them. I do not see how anyone could have wrapped both forks and knife up like that in a napkin, someone was not paying attention. I did not bring this up to the server but used a fork (for my rice pilaf that was to die for!!!) from the other person in my party who did not need his. The other flaw was that when tipping the server (well over 15%) she just took it and said nothing! I had to do a double blink and my partner and I were baffled at her reaction. When off to the powder room my partner (just to see what would happen) asked the server "Did you get your tip?" she just said "oh yeah, she tipped me" and that was all. It is somewhat hilarious but she never did say a Thank You, maybe people are not as thankfull for their gratuities anymore at least not our server. Other than that she was just fine. Maybe she expected more than a 20% tip at lunch time, but I thought it was more than fair. Would I go back or tell others to dine there? Maybe... but I would not go out of my way to eat there.

This is one of my favorite restruants! The service is always good. We go once a month and it is always terrific. Even when they messed up on my order they apoligized and i even recieved a free desert from it! I strongly request that you try this restruant!
