Not happy with sales or service
Bought a big Islandaire unit from Norwest Airconditioning. It never worked. Got a song and a dance and they stalled so the warrenty was up.
I would never but anything again from this company.
If the unit sounds loud... it is... don't...

Bought a Islandaire unit from them it never worked right.
Some advice for buyers:
1. Make sure your AC people come to your house on HOT days to check and install units if possible.
2. Never pay for untis until they are delivered, installed and working.
3. If you live in a multi-unit apartment building. Find a person who has the same unit and talk with them and see if you can listen to the unit and see how it cools.
4. If you have a iPhone or Android, download the free sound meter. Get a reading of the noise coming from the unit when the compressor is on. 60 DB is way too loud. 65 DB is CRAZY. Place the sound meter at the unit right next to it when the compressor is on. It will drown out talking, TV or music at around 60 DB if you have to sit within 10 feet of the unit.
5. Get a reading of the air pressure or blower pushing the air. If the air is not moving it won't cool the house.
6. Make sure there is not a muti-stream of hot and cold air coming from the unit. Feel across the grate. If one side is pushing air from the return or the outside it will fill your room with warm and cool air.
With this advice in hand you'll do well with most companies. A $2,000 air conditioner should work. It should not drown out the room, it should cool and it should not vibrate the walls.
