We were referred to Noble Electric from our house inspector. We were first time home buyers and an issue came up with the electric in the unfinished basement. Our home inspector told us he was leery of the work, (in the house we were looking at purchasing) that had been started but not finished in the basement. Being wishy-washy himself said it would be best if we had someone come out and look at it first. He referred a couple electricians and we decided on Noble electric and are very pleased we did. He gave us and at the time the current home owner a full report of the electrical work in the house. He caught some major problems in the basement, like open ended wiring faulty wiring connection and improper placement of wires, which we had him fix prior to closing. He was so friendly and helpful prior to closing we had him help us with grounding out electrical outlets around the house, setting up dryer hookups, and remapping the basement wiring so that when we finish it to our liking the outlets and lighting are already there for us. He was open and honest with us about what work needed to be done and which things were not as important. Not knowing that much about electrical work and home owning in general, he was very helpful and friendly towards us and we would recommend him to any friend.

Roll the dice....

They are usually late...if you can get them to show at all. I had issues with isolating some circuits and determining if some lights were functioning. End result....outside reset button, replace two light bulbs and a "I don't know why that light isn't working." Thanks for the professional help...oh and the $200 bill. Try someone else before you waste your time and money here.

Great Service!

I am shocked to read this other post on such horrible service, although I guess everyone's experience is different. We were referred to Mike Noble Electric from a friend, who was also referred from a friend. The owner himself was very easy to talk to and friendly and seemed like a great guy to trust to get the work done. We had some extra outlets put in, a few ceiling fans installed, and some outside electric put in for sidewalk lights. Other people I've had do work at my house I can't wait for them to leave! The employees were like having family around, very friendly, the one guy even helped carry in my groceries, lol, which I thought was very generous, but at the same time I was struggling to get my kids in the house AND I was at the time 9 months pregnant or so! I have since referred Noble electric to other friends who are now building and they too have only had great experiences with them. Like I said, I was shocked to read such a bad review, but hopefully everything with that got straightened out? SarahJL, did they replace your stuff? I would have been mad too, but I could not imagine them being any less than professional and taking responsibility for what happened.

Terrible Electrician

We contracted Mike Noble Electric for our kitchen remodel that was just completed. The electric job involved new recessed lighting in the kitchen, lighting under the cabinets, new outlets, and new switches, along with moving some switches. First, they came without the tools that they needed and had to borrow them from our general contractor. My husband had initially planned everything out with Mike, and the weekend before the job started, called him to discuss a few changes. Mike assured us these changes would be no problem. These changes were never communicated to the person managing our project, however, so they were not completed. We talked to Mike and he said he would send someone out first thing the next morning - I had to go into work late so I could go over the list with the project manager, who showed up late. He flat out told me that we never had any of those things as part of the plan and that they were impossible. When my husband called him, however, these 4 things suddenly became possible, and only took him 90 minutes to complete. We were charged $1,300 for this first portion of the job and promptly paid the bill, something I came to regret.



After our cabinets were installed they had to come back to install the lighting under the cabinets, something that should have been completed in a day but took several due to showing up late or just not showing up at all. The job was supposedly complete. During the remodel, our refrigerator was in our dining room, so it was time to move it back into the kitchen. As soon as we plugged it into the new outlet that Mike Noble's team installed, we heard a loud pop and saw that the interior lights were no longer on and the unit was no longer working. The refrigerator was the only appliance we were not replacing, in order to save some money on the total cost of the project. We called Mike Noble and left a message on his cell phone. He had someone else call us back because he was in Las Vegas. This person, who did not work on our project, came over immediately, and confirmed that they were at fault, due to wiring too much voltage into that outlet, along with some others. This could have been avoided, had they bothered to test the voltage in the outlets they installed, a routine procedure. He immediately fixed everything and said only Mike could decide how we would be compensated for our refrigerator and that he wouldn't be able to call us until the next day. We do not own another one and lost approximately $200-$250 of food that perished. We could not wait until the next day to purchase a new one, and had to spend the entire day shopping. The state of Ohio had just started an appliance rebate 2 days earlier, and, as a result, most stores were backed up on deliveries for over a week. We could not shop around for the best price, but were left purchasing from the store who could deliver the soonest, which wasn't for 3 days. The new refrigerator was around $2,000, more than doubling he cost of the job. In the meantime, we spent $100-$150 on eating out for all three meals each day and had to make special arrangements so we could pack a lunch for our son. We spoke with Mike Noble the following day, who agreed to refund us $900, less the cost of the lighting under the cabinets, which he said would be about $200. This was over a month ago, and we followed-up on the status of the check twice and were told both times we would be getting it very soon, however, we did not receive it until today. It was only for $200. I will never do business with this company again and will never recommend them to anyone.
