Germ fest

My 5yo loves it here, though our days of visiting are over until they learn to properly clean the place and parents learn that when their kids are sick, you don't bring them to a place like this. There's a reason schools send your kids...

Fun! FuN! FUN!

This is a cure for the winter doldrums for you and your tots! The toddler area (under age 3) is separated from the older kids by a barrier. There is no reason anyone's child would be trampled by much older kids. Supervision is up to you, but is FUN, not burdensome. Big Benefit: you can bring in your own food and there are ample tables (both big and for the little kids) where you can eat. This place is a great way to spend a few hours on a cold winter day! Did I mention that it is very affordable? Highly recommended when you've got the winter blahs with the kids!

Not a great first impression

Indoor playground in MN. during winter, what a great idea...I was very excited to bring my 3 year old there to play. Having to pay $5 for her to play with older children who trampled her and other smaller kids, was not worth it. There were only 2 staff members supervising, 1 making sure kids had wrist bands, the other telling kids not to throw balls in the ball pit. Parents were not making sure their children behaved! It has a wonderful baby/toddler area, but my toddler is way too big to play in that area, so we had to use the main play area. Not sure if we'll go back, if we do, it will be during a time when school aged kids are not there! She did have fun and I highly recommend the smaller play area for babies/toddlers, not sure I am ready to recommend the bigger play area.

Indoor Playland Benefits

The Eagles Nest Indoor Playland is a great place for children to get much needed exercise as well as work on social skills. It has play areas that are age appropriate for all children. read the review titled Indoor Playland which rambles on about the germs at the Eagles Nest. I must note that yes, there are germs at the playland, however there are germs everywhere. Schools, daycares, clinics, shopping carts, homes. . . . We rarely know where specific illnesses are picked up by ourselves or our children. This person's friend could just as likely have gotten ill from exposure while shopping or from a visitor in their home. As parents it is important for us to be well informed while giving our children balanced opportunities to experience life. We need to weigh the true pros and cons, not succumb to paranoia. Remember exposure to some germs helps kids' immune systems. Every day as a second grade teacher, I see sheltered children getting sick as they come to school because they never had

Super indoor park

Great place for kids to go in the winter to run, play and climb. They have two areas, one for babies and toddlers and one for preschoolers and elementary students. They have punch cards you can buy for a discounted rate or you could pay a daily fee. They have seating outside the play areas for adults. The area can be pretty well seen by the adults in the chairs. Can get warm in the afternoon with the sun coming through the windows. Remember the socks, shoes are not allowed.

Indoor playland

Eagles nest is a big indoor playland. Its kind of like the climber thing they feature at chuck-e-cheese only bigger. Plenty of slides, climbers, and tunnels. It can also be rented out for birthday parties. It is free to play you just need to get a wrist band. The only down side of the eagles nest is that it is full of germs and thats what stops us from going there. A friend of ours ended up getting really sick after going and that just makes me wonder how often they clean it? Its fun for the kids, but not so great on cleanliness.

fun fun fun

How about a little inside fun for a rainy day?? Eagle's Nest is great for that. They have HUGE tubes and slides to crawl through. They also have 2 huge ball pits. They have a great toddler area with a little ball pit area and toys geared towards the youngest crowd. The only downside to Eagles Nest is that if you are back in the toddler area it is hard to watch older kids in the big area. They have the ability to walk out and roam the entire New Brighton Community Center.
