Save Yourself Trouble - Do not use Mooney's

We used Mooney's and it was a terrible experience. Items were not handled with care and we found management to be unprofessional, unresponsive, and generally lack integrity. Certainly not worth the frustration, especially since pricing is similar to its competitors - you are better off finding someone else!!!

The review below is 100% false. This review was originally posted by user peoplepuzzled on another company's review page. Someone then decided to cut and paste this review from that page to the Mooney's Moving page.

Beware!

CAUTION! PLEASE AVOID.

I wanted to apprise everyone of a startling negative experience with this company. I wish there was a way of giving "0" stars.

I hired Superior Moving to move me out of my 1BR apt in Germantown. Prior to this move, the owner, put all his charm on over the phone, as follows: He gave me a price, but immediately afterwards, asserted, "Oh but I think I can even beat that -- let's see if we can beat that price!" Important that I be clear -- I was fine with the price. He made this assertion voluntarily. In retrospect, I see now this was part of his sell. So I hired the company for the job.

Fast forward to my moving day. Two men arrived and switched / INCREASED the price on me! Please note I am single, and I was alone the day of my move. So, maybe I was seen an easy target? Whatever. When I attempted to stand up for myself, they phoned the boss / owner who told them AND I QUOTE "Leave the job, take the contract.". (I could hear him make this statement from their cell phone.)

I was numb, as I watched the 2 guys walk off and leave my apartment!

So there you have it. This is a true story about Mooneys Movers. So puhleez beware. I sincerely don't wanna see another soul go through this experience. It was shocking. I consider this in the category of "bullying", as the owner "knew" I was single. My next stop is reporting this on BBB

Good Moving service, but beware of the estimates.

We were just moved by Mooney's and have to say that the movers themselves were excellent. They were ontime and diligent workers. Our move was completed quickly and efficiently, the problem came after everything was done. The estimater significantly over estimated the amount of time it would take to move our furniture, and failed to communicate to us that there was a minimum charge for a move. If you plan on using them, it is best to be very critical when they come to give you an estimate. The estimater must have been inexperienced since he quoted it would take three men 4 hrs to move us, when it in fact took three men 2.5 hrs (including travel time) but we had to pay for the minimum 4hr move regardless.

Very good experience

I used Mooney?s last month to move from King of Prussia to Lansdale. The move went very well. Mooney?s had moved my family 34 years ago and that is how I got their name. I would recommend them in the future.
