Best drinks and waffles!!!

Saturday I took my son to Louie's for brunch. Only one word to describe this place, PERFECT!! I drank the best Bloody Mary - best in town!!! My son loved the waffles ( I got to steal some of his food - and it was delicious).

I had my average weekend brunch meal (omelet) which was also excellent!! the place was nice and cozy, the service was friendly and fast! And very important.......prices were very reasonable!! this place gets from me A+. I will be back!

Bad choice on the UWS

Had brunch here recently and was disappointed. The restaurant looks like it hasn't been painted since the 1980s, and even with a decent crowd the restaurant was quiet as a museum. The food was average at best but the real kicker is the prices--$9 for a mimosa, $6 for half a bowl of soup, etc. If you're going to pay that much, you'd might as well go somewhere with some atmosphere and a more creative kitchen.

A Classic

Louie's is exactly the kind of place where one COULD eat every day. They've got a great, diverse menu full of food that falls somewhere between comfort food and haute cuisine---reliable and tasty, yet a little creative. This place is an old-school style classic neighborhood spot. If you're eating out, but your not sure what you want, give Louie's a try!

I could eat here everyday

Great neighborhood place. My personal favorite: Scallops over Pesto Risotto (outrageous). Fabulous regular menu with dishes from home-style meatloaf to Broiled Lamb Chops with Potato/Pear Gratin & cilantro/garlic chimichurri. Creative specials everyday. Friendly staff that make you feel at home.

Reliable

A good place to relax...have a glass of wine - good list. Calamari isn't bad either. Service is well...New York style. Quiet in the afternoons.
