Seemed like a nice guy, played the "Christian card" (elder at his church) and had a reasonable price. However, I had to micromanage the work to make sure it was done properly. He subcontracted the work and didn't communicate what we had discussed to his workers. One night the roof was left open to rain because a makeshift cover was poorly secured. I decided to have the roof replaced because there was a trouble spot. There was a larger defect in the roof at the trouble spot after he replaced it and I had to call him back to take care of it. I had to go up on the roof and inspect it several times to make sure the work was done properly. In the end he finished most of the work but there is still a corner where the shingles are hanging over the gutter and were not trimmed properly. He also promised to submit a claim to the previous roofing manufacturer and get me a piece of gutter. However, after he got his money, he stopped returning phone calls and didn't keep his word.
