Not what they used to be...
Jess seems to be suffering the same pitfalls as many older companies, in that they?re way too complacent with their business. We?ve used them for two separate jobs, and have found that the current electricians lack the critical thinking skills Jess has been known for in the past. For example, we wanted them to update our kitchen so the microwave wouldn?t trip the circuit. Instead of checking the electrical configuration, they switched our fridge over to a new circuit, but the microwave wasn?t even on the same circuit as the fridge.
Their business is completely disorganized now, and we?ve had major complications, such as them forgetting parts and equipment, overpromising completion dates, not testing their work, etc. Our second job was quoted for one day, but it's already taken three and they only finished 25% of the work and then left us hanging. In addition to the massive inconvenience and frustration, this resulted in three days lost vacation time, not to mention the numerous phone calls and time spent trying to get them on the ball.
We were also surprised to find that they do not carry standard electrical supplies on their truck, such as outlets, switches, bulbs, and power cords. All things considered, we are no longer able to recommend Jess to our friends and family.
