not the best

This buffet is definately not the best that i have eaten at. Some of the food there is cold. The service is not the best either. Most of the time I had to put the plates that I was finished with on the table next to me because the waitress wouldn't get them. The really only thing that they have that is good is their dessert.

Where's the beef?????

My family came to this Hometown Buffet for lunch on a Sunday afternoon.I was surprised that considering how many people was in the restaurant that the buffet was so scantly filled there was only 2 small wing pieces of chicken in one pan and when I asked when there would be more I was told in 10 minutes.We left an hour later and their was still an empty pan and we all checked several times and asked as well.Their was very little selection of other foods as well and lots of half (and less than half) empty pans.The salad bar was messy and not very appitizing.The desserts looked good but we came for a meal not just a dessert bar.

PROS: yummy desserts
CONS: not an appitizing experience

Had a GREAT Sunday lunch at Hometown buffet!!! ---

I think this restaurant has improved since the earlier reviews were written. Everything (except restroom cleanliness) was absolutely top-notch! The steak had great flavor, and they didn't seem to be afraid of using spices. Food trays were kept full. Desert was much more than just an ice cream bar! Anyway, a GREAT meal, and only 60 cents/year for kids at the time we went there!!! ---

Best in Town

I must say that it had been more than five years since we had visited this restaurant and what a difference time makes. I met the new Manager who came to our table and asked us if everything was ok and even asked my children how they liked the food. It was a great time for us and the food was hot and fresh and they had a large selection of items. The salad bar was filled with fresh items that put Fresh Choice up the street to shame. They were very busy when we arrived and helped us to find a place to sit and the atmosphere was just wonderful and pleasant. I recomend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for great food and friendly people, this restaurant is the one, what a difference five stars to the Managers and crew who truly care about what they do!
