Our child who attended there was NOT taught anything like our child should have been. We often saw teachers texting and ignoring the children, especially outside on the playground. They were usually all hundled in one spot with their back to the children or not paying attention. One time I saw another child run toward the teachers excited, but I was upset at their disregard toward that child. They brushed him away and didn\\\\\\\'t even stop their conversation to speak to the child. When We would ask how our child\\\\\\\'s day was, we became greatly concerned by the lack of teaching from the teachers. There was very little brought home that could show our child was learning. It was mostly worksheets he had colored on with crayon. It also was concerning that they had a roof that leaked when it rained. We were upset to discover our child had been yelled at by teachers who were allowed to stay working there. While other teachers whose class had great teachers, would often quit from what we heard.
We were disappointed by this daycare and will not be recomending it to anyone. At first glance it seemed ok, but when we saw how the children were ignored and left to play by themselves, we knew this was not the choice for us. The director had told us one thing and then the teacher would contridict her. There was horrible communication. We often would ask the teacher in the evening about something and they would have no clue where our child\\\\\\\'s belongings were or even how their day had been!
Also the playgroung equipment is old and rotting. Why haven\\\\\\\'t they fixed it?

A Family Tradition
I must disagree with the negative reviewer. I personally went to Holy Cross for 3rd - 6th grade. My Mother went there for pre-k - 3rd grade. In addition, my 4 year old Son starts there for Pre-K this month. ;-) He will have the very teacher for his Pre-k that I myself had over 20 years ago for 3rd grade.
On average, the teachers have remained employed with Holy Cross Lutheran School for 14.2 years.
I could go on and on in regards to many different positive attributes that Holy Cross has always deemed mandatory opposed to just suggested. Just a couple of those would include the great foreign language classes that are required as well as the spelling bee that is a requirement for each student too participate in. However, I will not go in to all of that.
Rather, I will end this review with this final note. Choose a private school that You believe will be best for Your child. Do not choose a private school for Your child based on a review by Me nor Anyone else for that

Useless for education
My neices went to school here and I feel as if I could have taught them more myself. I am a preschool teacher and I feel as if they were not taught anything. They only brought home what looked as if they colored and did silly little art projects that we could have done at home. If you are looking to send your child somewhere just for socialization and bible verses, just take them to sunday school forget about a part time nursery school.
