I find Gordon's new look very exciting, and as for who does arts and crafts statement, many of us still do, and I still find quality products for my projects, as well as Home Decor. Arts and Crafts teaches an individual a lot about themselves, patience, as well as their possible potential in the arts. If I can't find what I need at Gordons, I do what everyone else does- I email China, since we don't manufacture any quality products anymore here in the USA! Kudos to Gordon's. for carrying the top of the line from China, and what a great helpful staff they employ. It's a real pleasure every time I shop their stores.

Gordon's Of Mandeville is the most unique store

I visited the store this week. The seasonal item I wanted was out of stock;however it came in from the Kenner store. I picked up Saturday. Jason & Ryan are doing a good job with store. Love the new lamp section! I just need 3 hours every week to come look at the new merchandise. Congratulations on 35 years in business!

Absolute Best Decorations

Mandeville does not have many one-stop-shops to buy decorations, but Gordon's definitely makes up for all that. The staff are extremely helpful and motivated to make sure that you receive the look you desire. They have ready made frames, furniture, knick knacks and silk flowers in bins and ready-made. Their display is constantly changing and I especially love the way they cordon off sections to create little rooms. It gives me wonderful ideas for my own home.

The only drawback I could see would be their custom framing section. It is relatively expensive, but they will work with you to make sure you get exactly the look you desire.

Gordon's is GREAT!!!

I agree Gordon's is changing, and it's for the better! They are moving forward, you can't sell only small arts and craft supplies forever, can you? The shelves are NOT empty, I could spend hours in there and still not look at everything! The employees are absolutely fantastic, willing to do whatever they can to help. And it's not just furniture they sell, there's a great selection of home decor, seasonal decorations, and they have an excellent floral department! I strongly recommend stopping in and seeing for yourself. The management has changed hands as well, and it's for the best. They couldn't be better.

HELPFUL STAFF!

I agree Gordon's has changed...but I feel for the GOOD! Who does arts and crafts anymore? I like all the NEW stuff and its reasonably priced! I received great customer service from the Mandeville staff, they went overboard to find what I was looking for. I LOVE GORDONS and thanks to all the staff members that helped me find my glass bookcase!!

Couldn't Agree More!

I couldn't agree more with the previous post. I actually thought they were going out of business. The store is a mess, the shelves are almost empty, and, yes, the employees are not very friendly. And, that includes management. The store just seems messy and/or dirty. They might be a notch above a Hudson's. They used to have great furniture and home decor -- but that's dwindled down to nearly nothing. I remember spending hours in this store and buying a lot of beautiful things. Gone are those days.

Okay.

I used to love going to this place. But in the past few years it seems to have gone down hill. They have discontinued many products that I frequently used. I don't know, the people are usually nice. But there are times where everyone seems to be in a bad mood.
