About Gilbert Thomas J DDS
enough to make me a believer!
Only went once but am very happy with the service and the results.
Look here. Excellent service and a very competent staff.
HORRIBLE & UNPROFESSIONAL
I found this dentist through my insurance company and had relatively few problems with simple, routine cleanings. That all changed once I had a problem with my back tooth. I have been having unresolved problems with my crown since last December thanks to Dr. Gilbert and his incompetent staff. They fight with me constantly telling me I am "imagining" the pain in my tooth. I finally paid another dentist to look over the work they did and was told the crown was done wrong with a gap in it and they have been letting bacteria leak in the gap on to my real tooth. Wouldn't a good dentist notice this and fix it? One would think so but they still put up a fight about it. They are being reported to the American Dental Association and I want all to know STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DENTIST if you care anything about your teeth!!!
Worst Dentist Ever!!
I am writing this review to help anyone looking for a dentist. I recently moved to the area, and like most people, I wanted to get set up with a dentist to care for my oral hygiene. I looked to see what was close and read a few reviews, finally deciding on Royal Oak Dental due to proximity. They were quick to schedule an appointment, but it was all down hill from there.
First off, his office is old and dirty... a strike right off the bat! When I think of a dentist's office, I want something that is new, or at least clean and sanitary. His hygienists seem nice, though they actually fought over the last working dental chair. I eventually had to have my teeth cleaned in a side room - in plain view of all the people in the waiting room. That was uncomfortable! When Dr. Gilbert finally came in, he just sat down right in my face without introducing himself. Some people are ok with their dentist not having any social skills, but I am not one of them. I attended medical school and have met plenty of fellow doctors that lack basic people skills, but I found Dr. Gilbert to take the cake. He was egotistical and abrasive. I suppose it is possible that I caught Dr. Gilbert on a bad day, but I doubt it. My wife had a appointment at the same time and I found out that he actually made her cry. If you are looking for a new dentist, I suggest you keep looking. Dr. Gilbert of Royal Oak Dental is not someone I would recommend to anyone.
