Agency has failed to service patient according to contract. Allows workers to cancel on short notice without finding replacement; allows workers to repeatedly arrive late; allows workers repeatedly to use cell phones throughout the workday as well as while providing personal care to client; accepts any excuse given by worker regardless to how ridiculous it sounds! When you inquire about cancellations, the office staff will promise a call-back to update you as to status but the call is never returned. You are left to figure out that if you have not received a call then you can expect that you will remain without service. Have been told on many occasions that calls will be put out for a worker with the hope of a response! Workers come late with intentions to record the assigned hours rather than worked hours. If you disagree then worker is no longer interested in the assignment. Agency allows workers to provide less than professional service to client without consequences. Seemingly, there is no motivation to provide good service because workers are rewarded regardless to what service is rendered.
My daughter is a college grad and so am I. I expect service to be rendered professionally according to the contract regardless to whether it is paid for privately or by medicare/medicaid. Today I have no service. After 50 minutes of no service, I called agency regarding my 9:00 am scheduled service. Worker said she overslept and would be arriving by 10:30. At 10:12 a m the agency called to say worker had to cancel entire day. I have 12 hours of service for my daughter who requires 'total' care. It is 5:00 p m and no one from the agency has had the decency to call me. I placed a call to a worker who helps out occasionally, and she has agreed to come and help! I have to find my own worker, yet the agency supposedly has put out calls! You go figure this out.
The service has followed this pattern for the length of time I have been signed up with this agency.
