Helen Lee owner of ETCH Salon is a great tatoo artisan
"These are the eyelashes I was born to have" Yep, this is exactly what I say each time Helen applies eyeslash enhancements. She never fails to frame my eyes with beautiful long full sexy eyelashes and it's worth the investment when you trust that Helen will make you look beautiful.
Recently, I built up my courage to tattoo my eyebrows. I had misconceived ideas that eyebrow tattos were thick bluish Cruella DeVille brows and wanted no part of it. However, I learned through my conversations with Helen that cosmetic tattooing has evolved to be very flaterring if done correctly. As to be expected - my eyebrows were beautiful and required very little maintenance. In fact, Helen will have you come back to the salon a month later to fill in any areas that did not take at no cost. Was it painful - I won't lie - I could feel the tiny etching of the needle; however, the discomfort was minimal as she applied an analgesic type cream 15 minutes before the procedure, which minimized the discomfort. All in all a very good experience and now it takes less time to get ready for work. Will I consider lip liner tatoos or eyeline tattos - perhaps in the future. Fro now I will enjoy my beautifully arched eyebrows.

Awesome experience!
I had been going back and forth for months about whether or not I wanted to get my eyebrows permanently tattooed until one morning, I found myself scrambling to get through my daily makeup routine and get to an early Thursday morning meeting on-time when I realized I'd had enough. While on my lunch break, I made an eyebrow tattooing appointment with Helen at Etch Salon for the next afternoon. I'm so glad I did! Helen was wonderful about explaining the procedure, making sure that she was clear on exactly what I wanted, and making me feel comfortable about getting tattooed. I was a little nervous at how dark my eyebrows seemed initially, but after a couple days they lightened up to just the right shade (just as Helen had assured me they would)! I've gotten so many compliments on them, and the best part of it is that I have one less thing to do in the morning because I wake up with perfect eyebrows. :)

Etch Salon made a believer out of me!!!
First of all, I was completely against cosmetic tattooing because I've seen many women with tattooed eyebrows that have turned blue or green. I never thought in a million years I'd ever get it done but one day, I went with my friend when she went in to Etch Salon to get her eyeliner done and I was extremely impressed by Helen's professional attitude and knowledge. The eyeliner she did on my friend was so great and looked surprisingly natural. I'm sure I annoyed them both when I kept asking my friend if it hurt! I'm a big scaredy cat when it comes to needles but Helen was so warm and welcoming that I was immediately put at ease. It was completely painless and I am so satisfied with the results. Why did I wait so long?

I have been a client of Helen's for over 5 years. I Moved to L.A. about 4 years ago but I still fly to HI twice a year to see Helen and get my eyeliner and brows done (I get the semi-permanent color for brows). I can't say enough how much I appreciate her skills and her positive attitude. I don't wear very much make up on a daily basis so having Helen take care of my brows and lashline tattoo has been fantastic! I never have to worry about my eyebrow makeup wiping off or smudgy eyeliner at the end of my day. I also have to comment that no one has been the wiser on my cosmetic tattoo. People actually think I draw my liner and shade my brows in everyday. I love how I just can put on a little spf lotion, cream blush and a bit of lip gloss and I'm out the door in 2 minutes. TY Helen for all ur great services, booking a flight soon, can't wait to see u!
