At Eastern Shore Heart Center in Fairhope, Alabama, cardiologist Dr. Craig Peterson treats every patient like a member of the family, providing compassionate care using the most state-of-the-art techniques and equipment. He’s double board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, which gives him a broad understanding of not only the heart’s function but how it functions with the rest of the body.
Dr. Peterson provides patients with the latest diagnostic tools to unearth and treat the severe issues that can affect this vital organ, allowing his patients a vastly improved quality of life. Dr. Peterson graduated with his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama. From there, Dr. Peterson interned and completed his residency at Tulane University Affiliated Hospitals in New Orleans. Dr. Peterson also received a cardiology fellowship at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Dr. Peterson is a fellow at the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Baldwin County Medical Society, American Medical Association, and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama.
Dr. Peterson continually strives to keep abreast of the latest science and techniques in cardiology by participating in workshops on stress echocardiography and interpretation of nuclear cardiology studies. He also attends the annual national meeting of the American College of Cardiology.
