Not Recommended

I went to Dr. Griffin to have a mole checked out. Her assistant told me that it would not cost anything extra to have it removed so I did. A week later I got a bill for $320 (and that was apparently with a discount). This was a 2 minute procedure.

Dr. Griffin is very nice but I can't help but feel that I was mislead about the cost of my procedure. Also, the receptionist can be very rude and very hard to get a hold of. Finally, the average wait is 20-30 minutes.

I recommend choosing a different doctor, but if you have to go here make sure you get a DEFINITIVE cost for EVERYTHING.

Go elsewhere!

The receptionist is aloof and impolite. I informed Dr. Griffin that I needed x, y, and z addressed and looked at. She had the audacity to tell me that she had a meeting she was running late for. Therefore, she only had time to look at x and y and NOT z.

Her office hours are Mon-Thur and closed on Fridays. I call on a Mon to find out the results of a biopsy, which left a scar on my face mind you, and she's not in the office. Unfortunately, I can't, in good conscience, recommend this doctor for someone's dermatological needs.

AWESOME DOCTOR!!!!!

I am a 31yr old female, who has been in the sun her whole life. With that being said, I found a spot on my chest and knew it wasn't right. I saw Dr. Griffin and she did a biopsy that day, I had the results back in days and it was skin cancer. Dr.Griffin called me herself and explained everything to me in detail and made me feel a ton better. She was very kind and and professional and I would recommend her to anyone. In fact my friends see her as well...Thanks Dr. Griffin! Rebecca Chandra

Not Recommended

Service was abrupt and the doc clearly relates better to moles than to people. Not happy with the service or the value. Did I mention I was double billed? Find someone else for your skin care needs!

Very unprofessional

My husband went to see Dr. Griffin to check two spots on his face. She was very abrupt, and spent almost no time explaining anything to my husband. He was very upset when he came out of the office, feeling like he'd just been through a manufacturing process rather than through a human process! I'm sure that Dr. Griffin sees a LOT of the same thing over and over, but she needs to remember that for many patients, it's a first-time experience. Be patient and kind! Did I mention that even though my insurance provider cut a check to Dr. Griffin for the full amount due (and that check was cashed), I *erroneously* received a bill with the following hand-written message signed by Dr. Griffin: Bill will be sent to collections agency in 30 days. I guess they don't teach professionalism where she went to medical school??

Wonderful Dermatologist!

Dr. Kitha Griffin is excellent! She was very thourough checking my moles and skin spots. She checked a biopsy for the mole that I was most concerned about; and when we found out that it was a melanoma Dr. Griffin was very kind and sat with me to explain my options. We decided to remove it, and she did so quickly, painlessly and I healed up just fine. Thank you Dr. Griffin!!!
