Overrated, overpriced
Chinese fusion? More like overpriced chinese fast food. Wolfgang Puck should be ashamed of an establishment like this. Ordered the "special" fried rice that tasted worse than any fried rice from a regular chop-suey place. The sushi is just as bad. Using a religious figure as ambience decoration is not only distasteful, but a clear disrespect for other's religion as well.even he loved the food!
I'll start off by saying when it comes to food, my boyfriend is really not cultured and is pretty much a meat and potatoes type of guy. For him to absolutely love this fusion food says alot about the place! We had orignally planned on going to the cheesecake factory in ceasars, however, the line was long and we were starving. I talked him into trying this place and we were both pleasantly suprised. We sat on the patio where we could people watch. We started with potsticker appetizers. Our waiter recommended the General taos chicken and chow fun noodles for our meal. The chicken was excellent. I have never had anything like the chow fun noodles and have been craving them since the day we left! Including our appetizers, sodas, and food, the bill with tip was only $43... very reasonable for a great tasting restaurant on the strip!Vegas vacation experience
We had the spring rolls for appetizer with the entrees being spicy curry shrimp, emperor's delight, fried rice with pork, shrimp and chicken, it was probably the best chinese inspired meal I have ever had. I had the tea with cream, didn't like it, should have stuck with regular tea on ice. And for dessert I had the assortment of sorbet's with a huge fortune cookie powdered with sugar, amazing, amazing, amazing. I was very impressed with the experience and now I can truly say that I walked into Wolfgang's restaurant being doubtful and walked out a believer.Horrible Experience - almost missed show for an inattentive, fast food chinese, 2 hr meal.
Chinois in Las Vegas is not as good as Puck's restaurant in Boston's Museum of Science, let alone a good place in Vegas. We made a reservation 2.5 hours before a show at the Aladdin (very nearby). We waited to be seated, waited to get the menus, waited to order food the length of time it took the table across from us to get their appetizer, eat it, and then receive their entree - and even then it required flagging the waitress down.not as good as the chinois on main in los angeles
i needed a place to sit and eat and relax from walking around shopping all day. the service was average, but nice. the food is decent. the only complaint is it just doesn't compare to the restaurant in los angeles. If la natives who love chinois on main, i wouldn't recommend going here. if you liked it at this location, i HIGHLY recommend giving chinois on main a visit. especially if you happened to be there when wolfgang's around.good ramen and stir fry's
Food is great and drinks are good (no hangar one vodka:-( )Service, however, was quite slow. Wolfgang has a great location and would be better off spending more on staffing in the kitchen. The wait help looked on with baited breath as we all awaited our appetizers and main dish.NOT GOOD AT ALL
I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A FAN OF WOLFGANG PUCK, BUT OUR EXPERIENCE AT CHINOIS REALLY DISSAPOINTED ME. THE HOSTESS AND SERVERS WERE REALLY NICE AND EFFICIENT. MY COMPLAINT IS WITH THE FOOD. WE HAD WONTON SOUP, SPRING ROLLS (VERY GREASY), POTSTICKERS (ALSO VERY GREASY), SESAME CHICKEN (DECENT), FIRECRACKER SHRIMP (DECENT). THE FRIED RICE WAS DRY AND TASTELESS (A VERY SMALL BOWL PORTION FOR THE TABLE, FOR $14.95) AND I HAD TO GIVE BACK THE LO MEIN (LIKE A MOUTHFUL OF SALT). AS A MATTER OF FACT, ALL THE FOOD WAS VERY SALTY. IN GENERAL, FOR THE PRICES, YOU CAN GET MUCH BETTER CHINESE FOOD AT A FAST FOOD TAKEOUT PLACE. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY GOING HERE. TRY ONE OF THE OTHER GOOD CHINESE RESTAURANTS IN VEGAS LIKE JASMINE OR JADE GARDEN. VERY DISSAPOINTING FOOD IN A VERY NICE ATMOSPHERE. PLEASE AVOID.Interesting approach to serving
Overall, the food is decent for this overpriced, style over quality sushi joint (what else would you expect from wolfgang puck). The decor is great and bartenders are friendly. Unfortunately, my family had a run-in with a very unpleasant waiter who was too impatient to let us decide what we were ordering, while also being inexperienced enough to not know the difference between small and large maki roll sizes. While this point of information may sound esoteric to your standard jack in the box employee, any hole in the wall japanese restaurant waiter must have his knowledge ready. If you end up with the waiter J.T., head for the hills, or at least a more affordable, pleasant dinner elsewhere.Worldwide > United States > Las Vegas, NV > Seafood Restaurants
