Beware

I was pregnant and needed urgent care due to pass m/c history. I'd experienced bleeding and was afraid I'd lost the pregnancy. I did not receive the attentive care I needed. I was brushed off and told I'd most likely miscarry again after they saw my low betas and did a quck scan of my uterus.



Even after I called asking to be seen because I was still feeling very pregnant. They refused to see me until I waited a bit longer (wanted me to miscarry naturally as if they just KNEW it was coming).



I had to go and see a new doctor some where else just to get new tests done up before they would listen to me. When they did see me, they were astonished to see I had not miscarried and my betas were still rising. They promptly did another 'quick' scan on me like they did the first time. And decided I needed to get shot of Methotrexate to dissolve the nonviable pregnancy in my body. Although they weren't quite sure where it was inside of me.



To make matters worse, the only thing I was told about for side effects was to 'watch for dizzness, excruciating pain or heavy bleeding'. They did not mention all of the other things I was to do or not to do. I had to find out second hand from other women who had used it.



I feel like I just went through the twilight zone. I would not recommend going there if you have a history of high risk pregnancy or m/c. I'd go to a practice that specializes in treating women with high risk histories.



I know this office realizes the mistake they made in assuming I would fall within some 'textbook' guideline of what happens when women miscarry. If they don't, then they are just going to put some other woman's life endanger by 'assuming' some thing is going to happen rather than 'investigating/ensuring' through observation that all goes as expected.



Don't go there unless you are willing to fight for your right to exceptional care.

Treated like a number . . .

I found the medical professional rude and dismissive. The office staff was not helpful. Overall not a warm and friendly office. I will not be going back.
