I called Neil Harris and told them that my pilot light was out and that I couldn't get it to stay lit. They sent a technician out that day. So far,so good. The problem was that they sent a furnace repair tenchician.not a hot water heater technician. He told me that he didn't have the part,and called the problem in. Rather than rescheduling,they told him that I would have to call back to reschedule.When I did,they said that they couldn't get somebody out until Monday (it was Thursday.) I told them that 3 days without hot water was unacceptable since the problem was that they sent the wrong technician. They were "sorry" and "might" be able to reschedule tomorrow. I called AB May,and they said that they could have somebody out this afternoon. What happened to competent customer sevice?
Their call center is a mess.
I get that they get busy when the heat sets in, but their scheduling is a mess.
May 9th, I came home to a 90 degree house. Checked the AC and it was that the fan was not blowing the cold air. Called at 4:20 p.m. and the girl said they could have someone out between 8 & 10. What she didn't tell me was that she meant between 8 & 10 EIGHT days from when I called. So I stayed home the next morning and they never showed. I called back and they had no record of my appointment. The second lady (cause you never, EVER talk to the same person twice) put me on hold for a long time and when she came back on, said they couldn't contact the technicians and then assured me they would look into it and call me back. Two hours later I called to check in and they had no record of my second call. I asked them to cancel the service call as 7 more days in a 90 degree house was not acceptable and after a long hold time, I was disconnected (I'm assuming it was an accident...). Called back a fourth time and, again a new person who had to start all over again. I'm pretty sure it's a crap shoot if they will or will not show up on the 17th.
I think they think they save money by having a second company do their call center work, but if they can't get the info right, it'll only cost them customers. They lost me.
They are okay and seem to give you a good impression when they show up, but have not shown up to my last 4 appointments and email to their customer service center. The salesman does not follow up--I have to badger him to complete a service that started 7 months ago. Granted, it is a difficult issue that their warranty is covering and they've probably spent quite a bit on my issue, but two of the four no shows have been "on their way" moments before the appointments (via their calls to me) for the warranty issue, and two for a simple AC tune up that they never showed up on. Since they will not contact/follow up with me to reschedule, I have reported them to the BBB, so hope to get resolve on the latest promise they have not yet fulfilled, even though I will need to turn to their competitor for full resolution, because I'm tired of dealing with them. This company is a complete mess.
THE WORST HVAC COMPANY IN KC!!
First of all let me give you a word of advise..when you are getting a quote for heating and cooling, get 3 or 4 quotes. This company is WAYYYY overpriced for their products. Check the price of some of their competition. YEAH YEAH..the sales guy is going to tell you (you are paying extra for a quality install..we don't just rip out a furnace/a coil and put in a new one.) They will sell you on their "sheetmetal work" Just trust me when I tell you that this company is a complete rip off and the employees might seem to care..they don't! Don't waste your time having these idiots come out to your house. You can get exactly what they offer (if it is an entire system) for 3-4k less. You might ask how I know this..trust me. You might get me once but I will expose you for the crooks you are!
